Early Life and Education
Mirziyoyev's upbringing in a medical family laid the foundation for his disciplined approach to life. After graduating in 1981 with a degree in mechanical engineering from the Tashkent Institute of Engineers of Irrigation and Mechanization of Agriculture, he further distinguished himself academically by earning a Ph.D. in Technical Sciences and becoming an Associate Professor.
A Career Dedicated to Public Service
Mirziyoyev began his career at the same institute where he studied, progressing from a junior research fellow to the vice rector for academic affairs. His entry into politics was marked by his election as a deputy of the Supreme Council of the republic in 1990, serving as the Chairman of the Credentials Committee.
His role as khokim (governor) of various regions, including Mirzo Ulugbek District of Tashkent, Jizzakh Region, and Samarkand Region, saw significant socio-economic advancements under his governance. His effective leadership was further demonstrated in his tenure as Prime Minister of Uzbekistan from 2003, where he was reappointed three times, reflecting the high trust placed in him.

Under Mirziyoyev's presidency, Uzbekistan has witnessed a remarkable transformation.
