Though one would think the Swiss style star was at home in Europe, the red-haired beauty was tip-toeing around the entrance of her Venice crash pad in Los Angeles. "It seemed the perfect backdrop to set the collection to," she tells us, "I really enjoy the contrasting green and blue hues."
For Bazan, designer Jason Wu showed an exceptional second collection last September at New York Fashion Week, one where the brand's tailoring traditions were kept subtle yet prevalent while injecting more playful, up-to-date sensibilities.
"The collection is also full of pastel accents that I really love for when sunny days arrive," Bazan explains. "I love that Wu managed to make a candy-colored palette look extremely modern, chic and sophisticated. He's not just making spring all about florals or romantic cuts--it's more of a fresh, minimalist modern spring. What's not to love?"
As for her choice in a crisp, white button-down shirt and a sharp, athletic-inspired pant suit, Bazan says it's all about the blue hue.
"The shade itself is one of my favorite colors for spring, baby blue is always a big 'yes' for me. It's fantastic for any occasion, whether a cocktail party or out in the city."
Later, we catch up with Bazan to see how her look held up following a long day of business meetings, a cocktail event and dinner with friends. The blogger was more than pleased, "I wore the suit the whole time and kept receiving amazing compliments!"
"I am especially looking forward to living each day fully this year," she says as we amicably part ways. "Simply feeling alive and making every experience worth it and trying to be the best person I can be...I have a wonderful feeling for 2015." It's at this moment that the fashionable founder of Kayture's boundless optimism and uplifting energy reaches a head. She may not know it, but this trendsetting tastemaker has just wonderfully redefined what it means to "feel blue."
